
I decided to list one of my new favourite recipes. As many of you know I love to bake cakes,muffins, cookies everything and anything so today I will give one of the easiest and yummiest recipes I have found. So here I go!!
Chocolate Butterfly Cakes:
You will need:
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
3 tbs cocoa
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbs white vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 chocolate chips (optional)
raspberry or strawberry jam
300ml thick cream
12 patty cases
Directions for yummyness:
- Place the patty cases inside a 12 hole muffin tin
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celius (fan forced)
- Put the self raising flour,cocoa,choc chips,sugar and water in a large mixing bowl
- Add vanilla,vinegar and oil
- Mix it till smooth
- Evenly divide between the 12 prepared patty cases
-Place in oven for roughly 25 mins. To test use a piece of pasta and put through one of the cakes if it comes out clean they are ready.
- Cool on cake rack
- Once cakes are cooled carefully cut the tops off the cakes and cut the piece you removed into two even pieces to make the butterfly wings.
- Now fill the hole with a little raspberry jam (Substitute raspberry for any jam you like)
- Now place a small heaped teaspoon of thick cream and add the two pieces of cake you removed before to form the butterfly wings
- Voila now the cakes are ready to be devoured.
